THE HI-RES CERTIFIED DUNU DK-4001 5 DRIVERS AND DK-3001 QUAD DRIVER IEMS ANNOUNCED!
Dunu DK-4001

The High Res certified DK-4001 is one of the first in ear monitors I've seen that utilizes a quad drive BA (Balanced Armature) and a single dynamic driver setup. It's very different from the one that Westone uses and has more drivers than the world renowned AKG K3003. Of course the bass range is handled by the huge 13 mm dynamic driver with titanium diaphragm that's said to be impressive in power but doesn't compromise the excellent transient. The mid and high range is handled by four high end Knowles balanced armature drivers that can give you a sweet yet soulful vocals, crisp and detailed treble without being overly bright. The combined setup is said to give you a very impressive frequency response and a theater like presentation.

Next is the 4 hybrid driver DK-3001 that's awared with Hi-Res audio certification commonly found in Sony devices. It utilizes a single dynamic plus triple balanced armature setup. Just like the DK-4001, the 13 mm dynamic driver powers the bass response with excellent texture and the mids and highs on the other hand is powered by the triple driver setup. It's said to have a result that can provid full and sweet vocal as well as great treble extension with crisp micro details. The balance sound signature it has can go well with pop music, acg as well as classical orchestra.

The said new IEMs will be presented on 2015 the 22nd Beijing International Hi-Fi Exhibition. There's no word on its pricing and availability yet. Let's all watch out for that.
