Remember the astonishing Umi Rome? They have a new variant of that, not necessarily more powerful, but Umi claimed that it will be the affordable metal unibody phone in the world soon at just USD 49.99 (around 2.4K Pesos).

In terms of hardware specifications, the Umi Rome X isn't a bad one either for that modest asking price. The Umi Rome X features a 5.5 inch 720p screen with 2.5 D curved arc panel, runs on MediaTek's MT6580 quad core SoC, has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable ROM together with 2,500 mAh of battery capacity.
This phone also goes with 13 MP Sony IMX179 sensor at the back with dual LED flash and 2 MP selfie camera in front. It runs on a pre-installed Android 5.1 Lollipop as well.
This device will be on pre-sale this January 11 and will be shipped on January 25 of 2016 globally?
However, it might be more expensive when you ship it here due to our ridiculous Customs tax. Let's just hope that Umi will enter the PH market or somebody will bring them or re-brand them here.
What do you think guys?
