Poor battery life is a common problem with handsets with big screens on a budget. That's what's Xiaomi is boasting that they were able to solve with the announcement of the Redmi Note Prime.

Great battery efficiency?

The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime features a configuration with 5.5 inch HD screen, 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2 GB RAM and LTE connectivity at 3,100 mAh. While the specs might look ordinary on paper, Xiaomi added a lot of MIUI optimizations to make the battery last a lot longer. However, it's still on Android 4.4 Kitkat even if it has MIUI 7 on top gives me doubt about it's "highly touted" battery performance. Let's just hope it's true.
