What even made it more special is the battle will happen here in our country. The Olympic qualifying tournament is the country's only chance to get into the biggest stage in basketball. And being a "basketball nation" this will definitely be one of the things that we should look at. If we win, it will be first Olympic showing by our main team in 44 years.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of these official Gilas Pilipinas merchandise will be donated to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), which will aid in its advocacy to promote grassroots basketball skills development among the youth around the country.
Lastly, the SBP will be able to accept donations from fans all over the Philippines to support their various sports advocacies with the help of the PayMaya.
