Xiaomi Yi 4K Action Camera Launched, GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition Competitor Under 10K Pesos

Xiaomi's Yi Camera was one of the finest budget Action Cameras in the market today. As a follow-up to that success, the Chinese giant recently launched the Yi 4K Action Camera that now has more advanced features, better cameras and internals that's designed to match GoPro's Hero 4 series.

It now has a 2.19 inch touch screen w/ 640×360 resolution, has the Ambarella A9SE processor and 1,400 mAh of battery capacity that has BLE Ultra low power consumption tech. What we like here the most is it is now using Sony's IMX377 12 MP sensor that has a 155 degrees wide angle lens and a dual microphone setup w/ 3D noise reduction for better overall recordings.

It can support 4K w/ Time Lapse feature at 30 fps, 2.5K at 30 fps, 2K at 60 fps, FHD at 120 fps, 960p at 120 fps and HD at 240 fps.

The Yi 4K Action Camera will be available in will be available in black, white, and rose gold that retails for 1199 Yuan which is roughly around 8.5K Pesos without tax and duties yet.

Overall, we think that this is a solid Action Camera on a budget that's poised to be a GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition competitor.

There's no word about its local availability though.
