PLDT And Smart Unleashed New Logos, A Change For The Better

Last night, in an event entitled as the #ANewDay, MVP and the rest of PLDT and Smart group made a huge announcement. From now on, the Telecommunications giant group will now use their brand new and much improved logos for both PLDT and Smart.

The meaning behind the new logos

"The new PLDT and Smart logo is shaped like a triangle with the three sides representing the Company's business pillars - exceptional people, meaningful innovations, and our valuable customers.

The triangle is also the symbol for Delta, the fourth letter in the Greek alphabet, which stands for “Change”. #ANewDay

Aside from the new logos, from "Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company", the company name has changed into PLDT Inc.

What should we expect after this?

Better services, promos, and innovations. Both PLDT and Smart has a 3 year plan to make their infrastructures as the most data capable in the country. Then after purchasing the 700 MHz frequency, they're now starting to utilize it by firing up cell sites across the country. As a matter of fact, MVP himself stated that, there will be 200 more cell sites that will be opened before the year ends that can reach even areas with awkward locations.
