PLDT has expanded the reach of its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services once more. This time, the company has rolled the service out in south of Metro Manila.

Now in the south of Metro Manila!

The fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service is now available to over 300,000 homes in the said area. PLDT’s FTTH rollout covers areas in Makati, Pasay, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas cities.

It even includes private villages and subdivisions such as Dasmariñas Village, Better Living Subdivision, Merville, BF Homes Parañaque, and Ayala Alabang Village.

“PLDT’s Fibr footprint expansion in Manila’s vibrant south will benefit the area’s rapidly growing commercial district as well as enhance the digital lifestyles of the residents,” said PLDT FVP and Head of Home Business Oscar Enrico A. Reyes, Jr. “Our vision is to further establish the strongest connections for Filipinos nationwide and that means bringing the power of Fibr to more homes.”

Residents in the south of Manila may now experience high-speed upload and download internet speeds for as low as PHP 1,899 per month.

As a quick recap, this expansion is a part of PLDT's aggressive nationwide fiber expansion program.

PLDT is expected to expand its FTTH coverage to 4.4 million homes passed by end of 2017. As an update, PLDT’s fiber homes passed stood at 3 million at the end of March.

The company also deploying hybrid fiber technologies, such as Huawei’s G.fast, which can boost data speeds up to 600 - 700 Mbps over copper lines.
