Julienne Davidas (also known as Hulyen), Mika Bacani, and Rian Gonzales are the three promising artists to exhibit their fresn and entertaining take on the Beyond comicbook concept!

Exposed at a very young age, Rian has grown up with curiosity and fondness of animation and drawings that come to life which led her to develop her own style which she calls a "constant work in progress" that continuously evolves.

This resulted in her landing into the international scene on covers of Archie Comics (Betty and Vernoica, Josie and the Pussycants), IDW Publishing (Jem and the Holograms), and Valiant Comics (Faith). She also had her first solo Exhibit in Singapore themed 'Candy Girl' that showcased her anime-like portraits of women in vibrant avant-garde fashion. Today she contributes in writing and is an artist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Julienne Davidas or Hulyen is loved for her trademarked visual and non-conforming humor that brought her popularity in the industry in her first zine UGH #1 which depicted a character's reaction to daily encounters. This resulted in the issue getting sequels with great reviews. She continuos to bring laughter to her social media followers by uploading hilarious comic strips on her official Facebook Page. You'll also find some of her works published in Komikon's Sulyap comics anthology, Scout Magazine and Young Star.

Mika Bacani on the other hand is the graphic artist for restaurants by trade and an illustrator for children's book by passion. Her dream came true when she worked with Adarna House for 'What Kids Should Know About Filipino Food' childrens book. She also collated her illustrations of strangers she met on her daily grind on her Instagram project "100 Days of Summer Strangers." Her other works can be found on published broadsheets, glossies and publications such as Candy, Philippine Star and L'Officiel Manila.

Peek into the new world they’ve opened when the compilation hits the shelves in October 2017. For more information, you may visit www.beyondthebox.com.ph.
