Samsung Is Reportedly Working On A Mobile Camera Sensor Super Slow Motion
1,000 fps anyone?

Following Sony's footsteps, Samsung Semiconductors is looking to build a super slow motion camera in November that they can use in future smartphones.

Compared w/ Sony, Samsung's design is reportedly different. Instead of the three layer chip (pixels, control logic, and memory), Samsung will use a traditional two layer chip where the DRAM chip is bonded.

Even if it is just a two layer chip, it can store many frames very fast that can shoot 1,000 fps for super slow motion.

We speculate that Samsung did this two layer chip to avoid infringing Sony's 3 layer design.

So far, what Samsung could achieve using this technology is pretty interesting. I'm hoping for a better implementation.

Imagine a Galaxy S9 phone w/ dual cam and super slow motion.
