Coming from the traditional 5.5-inch 16:9 display of the regular OnePlus 5, the new OnePlus 5T now has a massive 6.01-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) 18:9 Optic AMOLED screen w/ Gorilla Glass 5 protection! As a result, the top and bottom bezels are really slim now to provide a wider field of view.

The company also introduced a new featured dubbed as the Sunlight Display. It will make the screen adjust the contrast of the screen automatically to get better viewing experience even in direct sunlight.

Inside, the handset is still as powerful as the regular OnePlus 5. It still boasts the still reliable Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM or 8GB RAM / 128GB ROM configurations, and 3,300mAh battery w/ 4A Dash Charge thru USB Type-C.

Camera-wise, OnePlus updated the dual camera setup behind. It boasts a  16MP Sony IMX398 + 20MP Sony MX376K w/ PDAF and EIS. Both lenses now has f/1.7 aperture size for better portraits and lowlight shooting. Interestingly, OnePlus ditched the optical zoom part for the Huawei-like hybrid zoom though. The phone can also shoot up to 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, and 720p 120 fps slow motion videos. In front, you get the same good 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX371 sensor w/ EIS for selfies.

The fingerprint scanner is now located behind to give way for the wider screen. It also now has a "Face ID" feature that can unlock the phone in 0.4 seconds.

Weirdly, the phone will still ship w/ Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS instead of the newer Android Oreo. But, fortunately, OnePlus promised an update this early 2018.
