Google launches Mobile Data Analytics and Saver App 'Datally' Globally!

Google has just announced Datally, a simple but smart app that helps Android users study, control and save mobile data and is now available at the Play Store.

Datally aims to solve the mobile data dilemma of understanding, controlling and saving mobile data. After extensive user reach worldwide, Google found that many smartphone users worry about their mobile data usage. This is an acute problem that the newer generation of users to come online that are known as the "Next Billion Users."

Google has decided to create an app that manages data mainly because it is faster to update an app than to wait for the latest version of an Android operating system.

It has four key features that empowers its users to solve these problems: 

The Data Saver which allows for control of data by an app-by-app basis so that data is only used up by apps they care about. 

The Data Saver bubble which appears when the Data Saver is turned on. Whenever an app uses data, the bubble will show real time data usage and then choose whether or not to block that app's data use if gets out of control. It's like a speedometer for mobile data.

Personalized alerts warns the users when apps consume a high amount of data and shows the user the amount of data they've been using on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Lastly, the WiFi finder which locates WiFi public access points for high-bandwidth connectivity that have been rated by the Datally community. Once connected, Datally users can rate the Wi-Fi networks themselves based on their own experience.

Datally was tested by Google with App testers for most of 2017 and have used feedback and insights that have shaped to what Datally is now today!
