However, according to the test conducted by DxOMark, the Nokia 8 with 13MP RGB OIS + 13MP monochrome sensors is not on par with the current high-end smartphones in terms of mobile photography and videography.

Only 68 points

The Nokia 8 only scored a total of 68 points for photos and videos. It got 72 points for photos and 62 points for videos.

According to DxOMark, it can still produce great images that has great target exposure and while balance in all conditions. However, it has low levels of details in all conditions.

With top-end processing components, a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display, and an IP54-rated aluminum uni-body, the Nokia 8 is a high-end device inside and out, but the performance of its camera module lags behind our (admittedly high) expectations. The Nokia is capable of producing decent still images, but in many situations, it cannot match the image quality of the cameras in current high-end phones from most competitors.

In comparison, some of the older 2017 flagships like the HTC U11 scored a total of 90 points. Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 recorded 94 points. Newer flagships like the iPhone X and Mate 10 series are tied with 97 points.

Currently, the top score belongs to Google's Pixel 2 with 98 HUGE points.

Hopefully, Nokia can make a comeback with their upcoming 2018 camera phones.

What do you think guys?
