Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9810 full specs revealed

Last November, Samsung teased the Exynos 9 Series 9810 chip, the company's latest flagship processor. Today, Samsung has officially announced its specs.

The Samsung 
Exynos 9 Series 9810 is a new octa-core processor built under Samsung's second-generation 10nm FinFET process highlighting A.I. applications and Richer Multimedia Content.

Four of those cores are third-generation custom cores that can reach 2.9GHz, with the other four cores are optimized for efficiency. According to Samsung, single-core performance is now 2x better and multi-core performance has an increase of around 40% versus its previous generation.

It also has 1.2Gbps LTE modem with 6x carrier aggregation and up to 200 Mbps uplink and Mali-G72MP18 GPU.

The Exynos 9810 also has a neural network-based deep learning and better security which can accurately recognize people or items in photos for fast image searching or categorizastion. It can also do depth sensing to scan user's face in 3D for hybrid face detection lala Face ID.

The chip is also supports up to 
10-bit HEVC and VP9 codec for video playback, dual-ISP with up to 4 cameras support and even an iris sensor in front. The dual-ISP is said to provide advanced stabilization for images and up to UHD videos, real-time background blur, brighter picture in lowlight with less noise, and motion blur.

Samsung will be display the Exynos 9810 next week at CES 2018.

Let's also expect this chip to come with the upcoming Galaxy S9 series.
