Some LG V20 units was affected by the bootloop issue too

Affected phones includes the G4, V10, V20, Nexus 5X, and G5. Bootloop is the term used for a phone stuck in a loop of reboots forever.

Because of that, owners filed a class action lawsuit against LG. Fortunately, Girard Gibbs law firm reached a settlement agreement with the Korean company where users will either get USD 425 in cash or USD 700 rebate if they will purchase a new LG smartphone.

The USD 700 rebate is almost the cost of the new LG V30, the company's latest high-end smartphone that's immune to bootlooping so far.

Affected users who joined the lawsuit must fill out a "Proof of Claim" survey by February 12, 2018.

Android Authority reported that if they missed the February 12 deadline, affected users can still fill out the survey though they will only get either USD 100 in cash or up to USD 200 rebate.
