Accessories

While I wasn't able to really hold the rest of the inclusions of this phone. The staffs of Firefly Mobile told me that it will include the regular charging / data cables, 1.5 A quick charger, earphones with mic, tempered glass with bluelight filter and clear silicon case. A pretty loaded package for its low asking price for the specs.

Build Quality / Design

When it comes to the build of the device. We just confirmed that the materials used with the body and side buttons here is an unknown type of metal alloy while the glass screen is protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass to prevent scratches. (It looks c, but the Firefly staffs at SM Light Mall claims that its made out of metal)

Going to the design, there's no question that the Intense Desire is inspired by Apple iPhone that is not really a bad thing. In person this is one of the most striking budget devices out there. It goes in an all gold body color with rounded corners that reminds me of the MyPhone My35 including the home button in the middle. The non removable back has a semi curved design that feels decent to hold as its doesn't have any sharp edges.

In totality, Firefly managed to combine good specs on paper with better than expected build quality and design. It's semi premium and  even has a slightly thicker frame, I don't have the right to complain for the price.

I also appreciate that they included an attached tempered glass with bluelight filter already and a soft silicon case for added protection.

Note: There's also an LED notification in front.

Display Quality

From my first impressions, the display of the phone looks the average 5.5 Inch phone with HD resolution. It goes with pretty good viewing angles as they included the OGS technology to improve the overall look of the screen. Its not overly bright as well and the tempered glass has bluelight filter that makes it friendlier to your eyes.

The Firefly Mobile Intense Desire is using the 13 MP IMX 214 w/ BSI camera sensor at the back and an unknown 8 MP BSI camera sensor in front.

Based on what I saw in person, the shots coming from the rear camera has an improvement compared with the Allure 64 LTE with better white balance and color accuracy. In front its not as sharp as I would like to see from an 8 MP camera, but can still take decent shots.

I just hope that they can optimize the camera further via OTA.

Specs and features analysis

Antutu benchmark score

It goes with that well used 1.3 GHz 64 Bit MT6753 octa core processor paired with Mali T720 GPU that's meant to run most of the modern applications today and let you play even some really heavy games decently. It also has 3 GB of RAM to let you enjoy multitasking a lot better, has LTE connectivity for faster internet connection and has the largest internal storage we saw from an under 7K Pesos phone at 32 GB that's expandable to 128 GB as well.
Large internal storage and OTG capability confirmed!
Aside from that the battery capacity is also larger than the average. It features 3,550 mAh Li Pol battery w/ quick charging charging tech that lets you enjoy your phone usage much longer. I'm expecting a battery life here of more than 12 hours with casual usage.

For now, this is the meatiest setup on a phone that's readily available in the Philippines.

Note: Further testing is required to give more a more accurate review

As of the moment

A potential killer phone for everyone on a budget! Firefly Mobile did a phenomenal job with the price to spec ratio of the Intense Desire. At just 6,499 Pesos, this is definitely one of those devices that you should take a look seriously if you want a good gaming handset with large battery life and storage.

Special thanks to the friendly staffs of Firefly Mobile SM Light for letting me explore the Intense Desire. :)
