Build Quality / Design

Look at the back

The Oppo F1 Plus is a step above the most of its competition in terms of build quality and design. Even at first hold, you'll definitely feel that this is superb phone that has great attention details up to the quality of materials used. Speaking of the materials used, it uses a solid uni-body aluminum material that's surprisingly light yet tough. It also has aesthetically good looking chamfered edges with rounded corners, making it easy to hold in the hands.

The micro texture looks great which is not prone to hairline scratches and fingerprint smudges. One of the best parts of this phone aesthetically is its screen bezels which is one of the slimmest we've seen at 1.66 mm only.

In terms of design, like we said earlier, the said device looks truly gorgeous. When we say gorgeous, we really mean it. It's super sleek and a surefire looker.

The button placements may not be on the standard side, but almost everything feels nice and easy to locate as well. The only thing that we find a little weird is the 3.5 mm jack placement below as we're not that used to it and we can live with that.

The ceramic fingerprint sensor of this one isn't located on the back, instead Oppo opted to use a Samsung button like scanner in front. Oppo also touts that it's super fast and can be easily accessed even if it's placed on top of the table.

Specs and features analysis

Touting a 2.0 GHz 64 Bit MT6755 Helio P10 octa core processor, Mali T860 and 4 GB RAM, the F1 Plus is a computing beast. That setup is expected to virtually run any app you throw at it with less hiccups compared to weaker setups.

Oppo also decided to amp up its storage capacity at 64 GB that lets you install and put a lot of apps, movies, games and etc. Aside from that it's also expandable to 128 GB in case 64 GB isn't enough for you.

So far my only gripe here on paper is its battery capacity is below 3,000 mAh. Fortunately, they added their highly regarded VOOC flash charge technology to charge it quicker than most.

Then of course, the highlight of the Oppo F1 Plus is its beautify 4.0 powered 16 MP front facing camera, a selfie camera designed to outdo the rest of the competition. It touts 4x incoming light, 2x dynamic range and just 1/4 of digital noise compared with other competing selfie cameras.

It can also enhance your natural glow, has selfie panorama, screen flash, palm shutter and etc.

At the back there's a 13 MP camera w/ PDAF and LED flash.

As of the moment

The Oppo F1 Plus looks and feels a lot better than its smaller brother. Like what I said earlier, it's a stunner in person, rocks powerful internals and has top notch selfie cameras. As early as now, if you love selfies, it's a must buy!

It's priced at 21,990 Pesos only and will be available on pre-selling starting April 16 until 29, 2016 with Zero percent interest for 6 and 12 months installment.
