Technology has been a wonderful addition to our everyday lives and with each device that pops out at our doorstep, a new problem arises. One of which is the number of sockets we have available in a room at a time. Thus the invention of the USB charging hub which was inspired from the socket hubs with orange switches.

I found these USB charging hubs absolutely convenient where I only have a few sockets available and I need to charge multiple devices at the same time. Everything was going well until I got my Quick Charge Compatible mobile phone that was only quick charging using its own charger, so when Tronsmart sent us their USB hub with 4 ports plus a Quick Charging port I was excited! I would have one more socket free!

The box comes with the Charging hub, a power cord that plugs to hub and to the power socket. The box also contains some quick start guides but that was it. 

Build Quality / Design

The USB itself is made of hard textured plastic that feels sturdy yet feels somewhat less solid than some of its competitors like the Anker 5 port USB charging hub. 

Performance

It can charge 5 devices simultaneously!

The USB charging port can charge five devices simultaneously. We tested it with an iPhone, iPad, Kata C1, and my Fujifilm X100T to charge the 4 standard charging USB ports and all charged well near their usual charging time of 2 to 4 hours for the iPhone and a little longer for the iPad.

VoltiQ automatically detects the maximum power input your device can take for the fastest charging experience possible. It also prevents overcharging to extend the longevity of your battery.

The Quick Charging port was plugged to my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and surprisingly it charged the phone for 90 minutes which is the usual charging time I get from Samsung's own Adaptive fast charger.

Quick Charge 3.0 lets you enjoy up to 5x faster charging time compared with normal chargers.

Pros - Perfect traveling companion if carrying multiple devices, quick charge is a life saver, can charge multiple devices simultaneously, build quality is good, safety charging features

Cons - Can get hot to the touch when charging with Quick Charge 3.0

Tronsmart's U5PTA is a worthy investment! If you are looking for a reliable and sturdy USB charging hub that can charge multiple devices at the office or on-the-go with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 compatibility then this is the car charger for you. We love it so much we don't want to part with it!
