Google Unveils Android 8.0 Oreo!
Android 8.0 Oreo

This is the second time that Android partnered with an actual snack maker, Nabisco's Oreo after KitKat of Nestle.

Android 8.0 Oreo brings a big revamp of the notification panel with a new layout, colors, and features such as "snoozing." Google also clamped down background apps for more consistent performance, optimized / longer battery life, picture-in-picture (PIP) mode for multitasking, high-quality audio through Sony’s LDAC audio file system, and revamped camera app for better images.

It will also have a faster startup time, new settings, security enhancements like the Google Play Protect" malware system", and new emojis. Android 8.0 brings Project Treble to new devices that should make it easier to develop and roll out new Android updates.

Android 8.0 Oreo will start to ship on soon to Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, and Pixel C. Let's also expect it to roll out first on few capable Android One smartphones.

For the rest? It's waiting time! We can expect Google upgrade Nokia, Huawei, HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, and Essential to Oreo by the end of the year.
