Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 5A Standard And High Edition

As expected, Xiaomi has released the first successor to its Note 4 series, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, the modern selfie-focused bang per buck contender. It has two variants, a standard and high edition.

Redmi Note 5A in gold

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Standard Edition features a stylish metal unibody with standard antenna band design. It has a 5.5 inch HD IPS screen, 1.4 GHz 64 bit Snapdragon 425 quad core chip, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable ROM via dedicated micro SD card slot, and 3,080 mAh of battery.

The phone has a 13 MP main camera behind for you casual photography behind a regular 5 MP sensor in front.

The phone also has WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth, IR Blaster, fingerprint scanner, gyroscope sensor and dual SIM card slots.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A High Edition is the beefier and better variant. It has the speedier Snapdragon 435 octa core processor paired with 3 GB or 4 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB storage, and a gorgeous selfie grade 16 MP f/2.0 front camera with 76 degree wide angle lens and softlight flash.

The rest of the specs are the same with the standard variant of Redmi Note 5A

The Redmi Note 5A Standard Edition is priced at CNY 699 (PHP 5.3K). The Redmi Note 5A High Edition in 3 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM will retail for CNY 899 (PHP 7K) while the 4 GB RAM / 64 GB ROM is priced at CNY 1,199 (PHP 9.2K).
