LG K5 And K8 Announced! K8 To Arrive In PH!

Previously, LG Electronics revealed models under the K series namely K7, K10 and K4. Specifically, we were impressed with the way LG K10 presented itself when we saw an actual live unit here in the Philippines. Now, they're revamping that lineup when they announced the new K5 and K8 earlier.

The LG K5 appears to be the lower end device. It features a 5 inch FWVGA screen, 64 Bit 1.3 GHz MT6735 quad core SoC, Mali T720 GPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB expandable storage and 1,900 mAh of battery capacity. It also goes with 5 / 2 MP camera setup, LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1 and Android 5.1 Lollipop pre installed.

On the other hand, the LG K8 appears to be the more premium one. It boast a metallic like body, 5 inch HD In Cell LCD panel, same SoC / GPU setup with K5, 1.5 GB or 1 GB RAM depending on your region, 8 GB expandable storage and larger 2,125 mAh of battery.

The said handset also comes with an 8 MP shooter at the back and 5 MP camera with flash in front. It also has 4G, latest Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC connectivity that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed.

The LG K8 will make it to several regions such as Asia, Africa, Middle East, CIS and Latin America. However, the K5 will only make it in Europe, Latin America and CIS. There's still no word about pricing and availability yet.
