On the other hand, the HTC U Ultra is the flagship phone that rocks high-end design, specs, and features. It sports a 5.7 inch QHD screen w/ secondary LCD ala LG V20. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 quad core chip, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB storage, and small 3,000 mAh of battery.

It also has a 12 MP Ultrapixel rear camera w/ OIS and laser AF, 16 MP selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, NFC, HTC sense companion, dual SIM slots, and Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. It'll come in white, blue, black, and pink colors.

HTC welcomes the new year by introducing its new U lineup of smartphones. Apart from the mid-range U Play that was also announced, the U Ultra has beefier specs with its Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, and a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with secondary screen.

The HTC U Ultra is a powerful phone on paper, but like the iPhone 7 series, it ditched the headphone jack. Bad move.

The HTC U Play doesn't have pricing yet while HTC U Ultra is priced at USD 749.
