In addition, both the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have received 3C certifications in China. The 3C certification of the said devices could be codenamed as MET7 and MEE7.

Also, a render of the alleged Redmi 5 Plus has appeared. It showed that it'll go w/ a 5.7 inch display w/ 18:9
screen aspect ratio for that near bezel-less design. The resolution is quite low at HD+ 1440 x 720 pixels only which translates to 282 ppi. Anyway, if that's the case, this will still be the biggest Redmi phone yet.

Then according to rumors, the Redmi 5 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm's 64 bit Snapdragon 450 octa core processor just like the Vivo V7+. It could also have 3 GB or 4 GB RAM, Quick Charge 3.0 support and a pair of 13 MP dual back camera setup.

The rest of the specs and missing details are still cloudy for now. The expected price for the Redmi 5 is around CNY 699 to 899. On the other hand, the Redmi 5 Plus could retail at CNY 999.
