Counterpoint: Nokia outsold ASUS, OnePlus, Sony, and etc. last Q4 2017

According to the latest report by Counterpoint research, HMD Global's Nokia brand sold 4.4 million smartphones last Q4 2017.

Strong comeback!

Neil Shah, the analyst of the company revealed that Nokia grabbed 1 percent of the marketshare to put them at the number 11th spot of globally.

Nokia branded smartphones were number 3 in UK, top 5 in Russia, Vietnam, and most Middle Eastern markets last Q4 2017.

If you combine both the Nokia smartphones + feature phones, HMD Global is in the number 6 spot globally with 20.7 million units sold 5% of the market share.

Those numbers simply means that Nokia-branded phones outsold the following mobile companies last three months of 2017:

• HTC
• Sony
• Google
• Alcatel
• Lenovo
• OnePlus
• Gionee
• Meizu
• Coolpad
• ASUS

Not bad for year number one!
