IFA 2018: Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC is official, the best smartphone processor in the world?

Based on new reports from China, Huawei begin the mass production of the said chipset this quarter. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSMC) will be responsible for the new chip.

According to rumors, the new Kirin 980 will have an improved processor configuration with a new dedicated NPU that has better performance. It could boasts a Cortex-A75 cores and a more powerful GPU for gaming.

We could also see it have an improve ISP for image processing and Bluetooth 5.0.

We expect to see the Kirin 980 on the upcoming Mate 20 this late 2018 and the next generation P-series phones on 2019.

Intriguing right? Is this the possible Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 killer?
