Sharp Philippines Corporation just launched the very first AQUOS 8K LED TV in the Philippines! In addition, the company also introduced its new line of AQUOS LED 4K TVs.

The Sharp AQUOS LCD-70SX970A LED TV features a 70-inch panel with 8K resolution. In comparison, it is 16 times the resolution of regular 1080p panels. According to Sharp, it can produce image at ultimate reality, and ultra-fine details.

The Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV also has support for HDR10 for both 4K and 8K resolution.

The TV also goes with left and right 40W subwoofer and runs with Android 7.0 Nougat OS for Android TVs.

It measures at 1,732 x 978 x 466 mm and weighs at 5,100 grams with the stand.

According to Sharp, the 8K will help in other aspect of our lives aside from picture quality. The medical, business, security, education, and transportation industries can also take advantage of the 8K technology.

During the launch of the 8K TV, Sharp also showcased their new IoT Inverter Air Conditioner. It goes with Airflow Technology, Super Energy Saving and Smart Control using IoT functions that can be controlled using iOS and Android devices via WiFi.

It also has J-Tech Inverter technology to help in energy efficiency and energy saving.

It also has Plasmacluster Ion Technology which deactivates airborne bacteria, viruses, mold and other contaminants in your home.

Sharp also emphasized that they are set to launch a campaign to highlight Philippine-made Sharp products like LED TVs, washing machines, Videoke, and electric fans.
