Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro with 19:9 notched display now official

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro was officially announced! In line with the latest trend, it has a 5.84-inch 19:9 notched display and Snapdragon 625 SoC.

The Redmi 6 Pro will be the first phone in Redmi series with a notch. It goes with a 5.84-inch 2280 x 1080 resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

It will be running a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked in at 2.0GHz. It can either have 3GB or 4GB of RAM with either a 32GB or 64GB expandable storage. It also has a 4,000 mAh battery.

In terms of cameras, the rear camera is a dual sensor setup with a 12MP + 5MP combinations with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, A.I. and LED flash. The selfie camera on the other hand has a 5MP sensor with A.I. and smart beauty.

It also has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, and dual SIM support. It will be running MIUI 9 as well. The official version of Android is not yet confirmed as of the moment.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is priced at CNY 999 or roughly around PHP 8,195 for the 3GB/32GB variation, CNY 1,199 (PHP 9,836) for the 4GB/32GB version and CNY 1,299 (PHP 10,655) for the 4GB/64GB version.

There are no indications of a local launch yet. We will update you once we get confirmation of a PH release.
