Realme 2 Pro with 6.3-inch screen and up to 8GB RAM goes official!

After leaking on Geekbench few days ago, the Realme 2 Pro is now official in India. It's the real upgrade to the Realme 1 and the beefier brother of the Realme 2.

The Realme 2 Pro boasts the highest screen-to-body ratio (90.8 percent) for its price bracket through its "dewdrop" display technology. Basically, dewdrop is like the waterdrop notch of its cousin, the OPPO F9.

Glass back design

It boasts a glass back design with built with 15-layer lamination tech and a Gorilla Glass protected 6.3-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio.

Dual 16MP AI cameras

Inside, the phone is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 660 AIE (AI Engine) octa-core processor paired with Adreno 512 GPU. It also has 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB with dedicated microSD card slot.

It has 3,500mAh of battery to keep things running. However, the 3,500mAh of battery this device has is noticeably smaller than the 4,230mAh battery of the Realme 2.

On the camera part, it has a dual-camera setup at the back and a single front camera. It has a dual 16MP f/1.7 Sony IMX398 sensor paired with Dual Pixel focus and EIS video stabilization. It also has 4K 30 fps video support. For selfies, you will see a 16MP f/2.0 shooter.

Both the back and front cameras has AI for scene recognition, face beauty, album, and AR stickers.

The device also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, WiFi 802.11 ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, OTG, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

The handset measures 156.7 x 74.0 x 8.5 mm and weighs at 174 grams. It will come in ocean blue, black sea, and ice lake colors.

It loads with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with ColorOS 5.2 skin.

The 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant is priced at INR 13,990 (PHP 10.4K), the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM model is priced at INR 15,990 (PHP 12K), and the top-end 8GB RAM/128GB ROM version will retail for INR 17,990 (PHP 13.4K).

There's no word yet on its international date of availability.
