Microsoft announces Surface Pro 6, Laptop 2, Studio 2, and Surface Headphones

Microsoft announced four new Surface devices today. It include the Surface Pro 6, Laptop 2, Studio 2, and Surface Headphones.

New Surface devices

Surface Pro 6

The Surface Pro 6 will come in matte black color option. It will feature an improved internal cooling, 12.3-inch PixelSense screen, Intel's 8th Gen quad-core processors, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD storage. According to Microsoft, it will be 67 percent faster than its predecessor.

It will also have up to 13.5 hours of battery life, luxurious Alcantara covered keyboard, and will weigh at just 1.7 pounds.

Price starts at USD 899 for the Intel Core i5 model. It is now available for pre-order and will be released on October 16.

Surface Laptop 2

Like the Surface Pro 6, the Surface Laptop 2 will feature the new matte black color option too. It will still feature a 13.5-inch screen, but it now has 1500:1 contrast ratio. It also has the new 8th Gen processors from Intel. Microsoft also boasts that it will come with up to 14.5 hours battery life. Typing with it will be quieter than its predecessor and it also has the thinnest LCD on a laptop.

Price starts at USD 999. It is also now available for pre-order and will be released on October 16.

Surface Studio

Next is the Surface Studio 2. Basically, it still looks like the Studio 1. But, its screen now has DCI-P3 color space which is 38 percent brighter with 22 percent more contrast.

It will also go with Nvidia's Pascal graphics and 2TB SSD. Price starts at USD 3,499.

Surface Headphones

The newest member of the Surface family is the Surface Headphones with built-in Cortana assistant. It is headphones with 40mm driver with 4 beam forming mics and 4 active noise cancelling mics. As expected, they have Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

It is priced at USD 350 and will go on sale later this year.

Sadly, there's no word if it'll reach other parts of the world yet.
