Sandisk announces 1TB and 512GB microSD cards!

Sandisk follows up last year's 400GB microSD cards with a new 1TB and 512GB capacity versions that was introduced at MWC19 in Barcelona.

1TB microSD card!

The highlights of these new cards aside from the maximum capacity are the read and write speeds. These cards offer up to 160MB/s read speeds and offer up to 90MB/s write speeds. It is also Class 1 (A2) compliant which means it manages random read input and output that results in faster app launching and faster app loading.

Other features include Speed Class 3 (U3), Video Speed Class 30 (V30) rating, Waterproof, Shockproof, and X-Ray proof.

Lastly, it comes with Sandisk's proprietary recovery software RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software.

Pricing and Availability

It will be available in April 2019 but there is no exact date yet when it will be available in the Philippines. The 512GB model is priced at 199.99 USD or 10,374 PHP without tax while the 1TB option will be a whopping 449.99 USD or 23,344.36 PHP without tax of this writing.
