Apple's new AirPods (2019) comes with better battery and a wireless charging case

Apple has just made the second-generation AirPods officia. It now comes with a new chip for better battery life, "Hey Siri" support, and a wireless charging case.

Basically, the design are identical versus the old AirPod. The case also looks the same with the first model except for a small LED light to indicate the battery.

It also comes with the new H1 chip. Apple claimed that it can provide an extra hour of talk time, better microphone quality, faster connection when switching between devices, and the "Hey Siri" feature.

Hey Siri will allow you to ask Siri things hands-free. The wireless earphones also has Bluetooth 5.0 tech for better connectivity.

The new charging case with wireless charging has the standard Qi charging support. It works with nearly all wireless chargers out in the market.

There is no mention if there's an upgrade in audio quality though. For calls, the previous AirPods is great. But for demanding users (audiophiles), the audio quality from the AirPods is considered as bad for the price.

Price and availability

The upgraded AirPods with the standard charging case is priced at PHP 9,490. The version with the wireless charging case retails for PHP 11,790. 

Users of the old AirPods can also buy the wireless charging case separately for USD 79.
