MSI Philippines launches new Prestige Series laptops

Apart from PS42, MSI launched new Prestige Series laptops in the Philippines, the PS63, and P65.

MSI PS42

First up, the PS42 has two variants. One has an Intel Core i5-8250U with intergrated Intel HD620 GPU while the other one has a higher spec Intel Core i7-8550U CPU with a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. In terms of build, it has an aluminum silver chassis weighing only 1.19 kg and has a thickness of 15.9 mm. It is touted as one of the thinnest creator laptops in the market.

MSI PS63

Next up is the PS63. It has two variants as well with one have an Intel Core i5 CPU and the other sporting an Intel Core i7. It is also said to have a "GTX Successor" GPU which is speculated to point in the direction of the new RTX series from NVIDIA. No specific GPU model was mentioned though.

MSI P65

MSI boasts that the P65 can change the laptop game. This is the highest end model in the Prestige Series with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GDDR6 GPU, a 4K UHD screen and a 1TB NVMe SSD. This is one of better spec'd non-gaming laptop in the market.

MSI Philippines partners with Team Liyab

MSI also held a gaming event during the Prestige Series launch. They held a mini-tournament for League of Legends where the winners get to play MSI Philippines' new gaming partner Team Liyab.

They are going to sponsor Liyab Esports for the ESL Clash of Nations tournament. They are supplying the team with MSI Gaming tools to help them prepare and perform at their best.

Price and availability

Pricing and availability for the PS63 and P65 was not announced yet. Stay tuned for any updates once we get more information about it.


MSI PS42 comes with a PHP 54,995 starting price.
