Smart reports increase of LTE users in Bulacan amid network upgrades

Smart Communications, Inc. recently reported that there's an increase of 4G LTE users in Bulacan following Smart's completion of recent network upgrades in the area.

According to Smart, two out of three Smart customers in the area are now using smartphones. More than half of which are already LTE  capable devices. The number of mobile data users has also more than doubled versus a year ago.

Better Smart 4G LTE signal in Bulacan

Rhodaliza Bernabe, a veteran Science teacher from Meycauayan, says that connectivity and mobile data have changed how educators like her go about their work. She explained that it helped her reached the students even after class and during weekends.

She also added that Smart's connectivity helped her access additional information that she could relay to her students.

Ericson Silva, a Plaridel resident said that he can use mobile data at home at night, for streaming videos, opening social media accounts and playing mobile games.

Smart also reported that sales in the area increased after the network upgraded.

Leonola Redola, whose Lhor mobile and accessories stall is located in the basement of a mall in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, is among those who have benefited.

She said that thanks to better signal, business is now better. Customers are now buying data packs.

Mickey Otic a fellow retailer in the area also shared that before, when there's no signal, they couldn't sell anything. Now, users buy load and LTE SIMs. Sometimes, their sales can hit up to PHP 1K in a day.

Redola also added that many in the area preferred to switch to Smart because of the stronger signal.

Epi Reyes, a bank employee who resides in Talampas, Bustos, Bulacan, says that the network connectivity in the area is way stronger than the competing telco brand. He added that Smart's network helped him play Ragnarok M: Eternal Love online with no to little lag.

Smart's internal 4G LTE tests showed that speeds ranges from 20 Mbps to 100 Mbps if you have a 4G LTE-A capable device Bulacan's major cities of San Jose del Monte, Malolos and Meycauayan. 

To recall, Smart upgraded their network around Bulacan last year. Bulacan is just a part of PLDT and Smart's nationwide upgrade.
