Breaking: Xiaomi CC9 Pro to sport a 108MP main camera

In a teaser poster, Xiaomi has just confirmed that the CC9 Pro is coming and it will feature the same primary camera found on the Mi MIX Alpha!

A mid-ranger with 108MP cam!

In short, this handset will feature the 108MP f/1.69 Samsung ISOCELL PLUS sensor that can shoot images with jaw-dropping 12032 x 9024 resolution.

Moreover, the poster showed that it has a camera with a 5x optical zoom. We are not yet sure if it is a periscope-type of zoom, but 5x optical zoom is 5x optical zoom.

It has two more cameras, but we do not know the purpose of those lenses yet. It could be wide with macro and an extra depth or 3D ToF sensor. Interestingly, it also has 2x of a dual-tone LED flash.

This suggests that Xiaomi is very serious in trying to make the CC9 Pro a very serious contender in the mobile camera race.

AND since it is not under the flagship Mi 9 line of Xiaomi and it doesn't have the ridiculous screen of the Mi MIX Alpha, there's a chance that this will be the 108MP camera for the masses.

Other rumored specs of the handset include the 8nm Snapdragon 730G chip, 4,000mAh battery with 27W wired charging, 20W wireless charging, and 32MP selfie cam.

The handset will go official in an event on November 5.
