Alleged Redmi K30i with 5G to launch soon?

Xiaomi's Redmi brand could be announcing the Redmi K30i affordable 5G smartphone in China this April 2020.

According to alleged internal documents released on the internet, Xiaomi wants to promote the rapid adoption of 5G. To achieve this, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi will allegedly be announcing the Redmi K30i 5G in April. It will be a more affordable version of the previously announced K30 5G.

ITHome reports that the unannounced K30i will have a 48MP main camera instead of the K30 5G's 64MP main camera. The rest of the specifications will allegedly be the same. The K30i is rumored to be priced at CNY 1799 or around PHP 13K out of direct conversion without tax or shipping.

Lastly, ITHome added that the same internal documents hint at a CNY 1599 or PHP 11.5K priced 5G phone. 

Until Redmi makes an official announcement, take this information with a grain of salt.
