Vivo just launched the Y70s in China, the company's latest 5G-ready mid-range smartphone.

The handset uses a 3D curved glass back design with a rectangular camera hump in Fog Illusion, Moon Shadow Black, and Starlight Blue colorways.

In front, it sports a 6.53-inch LCD IPS panel with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution, 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio, 90.72 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a punch-hole for the 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Under the hood, it sports the new 2.0GHz 8nm Exynos 880 octa-core processor with 2x Cortex-A77 cores and the Mali-G76 MP5 GPU.

It is paired with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 18W fast charging.

To keep the performance in check, it goes with a "
Zero-sensing" water cooling system that uses a 90mm liquid-cooled heat dissipation heat pipes, PGS graphite heat sinks, and thermally conductive gel. Vivo claimed that it can lessen the heat while gaming by up to 10 degrees Celsius.

For cameras, you'll find a 48MP f/1.79 w/ EIS + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 depth + LED flash at the back. As expected, this quad-camera setup comes with a dedicated AI-assisted handheld Night mode and 4K video support.

The device also has 5G NSA/SA, Bluetooth 5.0 (
SBC, AAC, aptX HD, LDAC), GPS, A-GPS, dual SIM, and Android 10 OS w/ FuntouchOS 10.

The device measures at 1
62.07 x 76.61 x 8.46 mm and weighs 190 grams.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

6GB/128GB - CNY 1,998 (around PHP 14.1K)
8GB/128GB - CNY 2,198 (around PHP 15.6K)

The handset will be officially on sale in China from June 1.
