Acer launches new Swift 5 laptop and ConceptD series for creators

Continuing with Acer's myriad of new devices, the company launched the new Swift 5 laptop as well as the ConceptD series designed for creators.

Acer Swift 5

Acer Swift 5 is a sleek and stylish laptop that combines great design with performance. One of the first improvements is seen in the screen with ultra-narrow bezels all around that allowed it to have a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also has Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the touchscreen from both scratches and germs. The display itself is a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen with 300 nits brightness and 72 percent coverage of NTSC gamut.

It also weighs less than 1kg with a 14.95mm thin chassis that still maintain durability through high-grade magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum body. Inside, it has a 10th Gen Intel Core processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 1TB high-speed PCIe SSD. It also has a 56WHr battery that promises 4 hours for 30 minutes of charging.

Connectivity features WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, Thunderbolt, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. It also has Windows Hello support for its fingerprint sensor and Wake on Voice features.

Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel

The Acer ConceptD line is touted to be a roster of premium notebooks, desktops, and monitors designed for creators. The first ones up are the ConceptD 3 Ezel and Notebooks.

The ConceptD 3 Ezel is a convertible laptop designed to give creators freedom on how to utilize the device according to their creative needs. It has two variants with a 14-inch and 15-inch model. The highlight here is the Ezel hinge that transforms the device to provide versatility. It has 6 usage modes overall with stand mode, float mode, laptop mode, pad mode, and share mode.

The screen is an FHD PANTONE-validated touchscreen display that covers 100 percent sRGB color gamut and has a Delta E<2 color accuracy.  It also has Acer's Active Stylus that features 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. Inside, it has up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor, either an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 or GTX GeForce 1650Ti GPU, and 1TB of PCIe SSD.

Acer ConceptD 3

The ConceptD 3 is a traditional clam-shell, high-performance laptop. It also has either a 14-inch or 15.6-inch FHD PANTONE-validated screen. Inside, it features a 10th Gen Intel Core processor, either an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 or GTX GeForce 1650Ti GPU, and a 20-hour battery.

Acer ConceptD 100

The next one is the Acer ConceptD 100 desktop PC. The ConceptD 100 is powerful, small form-factor PC designed for graphics-intensive 2D design as well as entry-level 3D CAD modeling. It features a 9th Gen Intel Core processor, up to an NVIDIA Quadro GPU, up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and up to 256GB SSD storage.

Next are monitors. The Acer ConceptD CP5 and CP3 monitors designed for creatives with outstanding color accuracy as well as compatibility. The ConceptD CP5271U V model features Delta E<1 color accuracy and is PANTONE-validated with 1.07 billion colors. It covers 99 percent of Adobe color space and has a 1ms response time. It has a resolution of WQHD 2560 x 1440, VESA DisplayHDR 600,  and Adaptive-Sync support. It can also be overclocked to reach a 170Hz refresh rate.

The ConceptD CP3 Monitor has similar specifications and supports 98% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut, WQHD 3840 x 2160 with a refresh rate up to 165 Hz as well as VESA DisplayHDR 400.

There's the ConceptD CM3 that is aimed more for photo editors and graphic designers as it promises to display fine details. The CM3271K model has a 3840 x 2160 4K UHD resolution with a 4ms response time, 60Hz refresh rate, and 99 percent Adobe RGB color space coverage. It also supports AMD FreeSync and has PANTONE Validation, Delta E<2, and VESA DisplayHDR400 support.

The Acer Swift 5 will be available in North America in October with a price tag of USD 999.99 which is around PHP 50,000 out of straight conversion. In China, it is also arriving in October with a price tag of CNY 6,999 which is around PHP 49,500 out of straight conversion.

The ConceptD 3 Ezel is going to be available in August for both North America and China with a price tag of USD 1,499.99 or PHP 75,000 out of straight conversion. The ConceptD 3 will be available in October in the same regions with a price tag of USD 999.99 which is around PHP 50,000 out of straight conversion.

Acer ConceptD 100 is going to be available in June for Europe at EUR 799 which is around PHP 45,000 out of straight conversion.

Acer ConceptD CM3 is going to be available on August for North America and July for China at USD 709.99 which is around PHP 35,000 out of straight conversion.

Acer ConceptD CP3 is set for an August North America release and June for China with a price tag of USD 619.99 which is around PHP 31,000 out of straight conversion.

Lastly, the Concept CP5 is set for an August release for North America and July for China with a price tag of USD 749.99 which is around PHP 37,000 out of straight conversion.
