HTC releases U20 5G and Desire 20 Pro in Taiwan

HTC has recently released two interesting mid-rangers, the HTC U20 5G and Desire 20 Pro.

2020 HTC mid-range phones, one with 5G

As its name suggests, the HTC U20 5G is a 5G-ready smartphone. It is equipped with the 7nm Snapdragon 765G octa-core SoC with built-in 5G. In front, it comes with a 6.8-inch 20:9 LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole to house the 32MP selfie camera.

The chip of the device is paired with 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage via MicroSD slot, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging.

For cameras, it uses the 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth quad-camera configuration at the back.

The phone also has a fingerprint reader, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS, and Android 10 OS.

Desire 20 Pro

On the other hand, the Desire 20 Pro is the lower-end among the two. It uses a 6.5-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution, 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio, and a punch-hole for the 25MP selfie cam.

Under the hood, it is powered by the 11nm Snapdragon 665 octa-core SoC with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

It also has the same 48MP f/1.8 quad-camera setup, fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, NFC, and Android 10 OS.

Taiwan price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

HTC Desire 20 Pro - TWD 8,990 (around PHP 15K)
HTC U20 5G - TWD 18,990 (around PHP 32K)

The two phones are now available in Taiwan. It is expected to reach Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
