OPPO Reno5 4G with 90Hz AMOLED screen, 50W fast charge, 64MP cam, and 44MP selfie cam now official

To end the year with more devices to choose from, OPPO just launched another variant of the Reno 5. Unlike its siblings, it didn't arrive with 5G connectivity.

OPPO Reno5 4G is only powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC, the same processor found on the OPPO Reno4 last year. Snapdragon 720G is an octa-core chip with up to 2.3GHz clock speed and Adreno 618 GPU.

OPPO paired it with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB expandable storage via a dedicated microSD slot.

For battery, it sports a 4,300mAh battery with a speedy USB-C 50W charging. It is lower than the 65W of its siblings, but 50W is faster than the usual 20 to 30W fast charge from a lot of mid-range devices. The company claimed that 5 minutes of charge equals 3 hours of use and a full charge will only need 48 minutes.

In front, it sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ resolution, and an In-Display fingerprint reader. The company claims that it has up to 100 sRGB on Vivid mode and 93 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. It supports HD resolution for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video as well.

On its top-left-aligned punch-hole, you'll see a massive 44W sensor. At the back, it comes with a 64MP f/1.7 main cam + 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide cam + 2MP macro cam + 2MP monochrome camera to complete with quad-camera configuration.

It also has a Super Night Mode and a Live HDR function for both photos and videos as well as split-screen view and dual exposure modes as well.

For audio, it has a 3.5 mm headphone slot and Dolby Atmos audio support. It also has Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and LDAC support.

The phone also has the usual dual-band WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and dual SIM card slots.

It runs with ColorOS 11 skin based on Android 11 OS. The phone is available in Silver Color and Mysterious Black colors. It is just 7.8 mm slim and weighs 171 grams.
