In a statement, Xiaomi noted that "the company has been in compliance with the law and operating in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations of jurisdictions where it conducts its businesses."

Xiaomi added that the products and services it provides are for civilian and commercial use and it is not owned, controlled, or affiliated with the Chinese military.

To recap, the US government blacklisted the mobile giant along with other 9 Chinese companies from getting investments from American investors yesterday.

The new US ban also forces American investors to withdraw their holdings on the blacklisted companies by November 11, 2021.
