Globe reports thriving gaming and Esports scene during the COVID-19 pandemic
According to Globe, content traffic from the gaming and esports scene went up to more than double in YoY traffic growth. This can be attributed to a lot of things like the availability of the proper device, a strong connection to internet services, and an impressive portfolio of games to choose from today.
For instance, League of Legends: Wildrift already reached 90 percent of its topline monthly target due to the wireless availability of the game. Online mobile gaming as a whole became more accessible through the years.
For Esports, the migration from physical LAN tournaments to fully digital events has been successful as well. Globe has also created a digital community that allows fans to watch the tournaments at home while still be able to interact with other fans.
