Soon in PH!

First introduced at the company's Huawei APAC Summer Product Launch a month ago, the nova 8i is a handset that boasts a Mate 30-like back design with a circular camera hump and a 6.67-inch FHD+ 60Hz LCD panel with a pill-shaped punch-hole and curves reminiscent of the P40 Pro with 94.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Inside, it is powered by the 2.0GHz 11nm Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU from Qualcomm paired with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 4,300mAh battery with USB-C 66W Huawei SuperCharge. Huawei said that using the charger, it can fully charge its battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 40 minutes.

The fast charging is impressive, but the chipset it is using is a downgrade coming from the
Kirin 810 of the nova 7i last year.

On the camera part, it is equipped with a 64MP f/1.9 main shooter, 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/2.4 depth. For selfies, it uses a 16MP snapper.

This handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and dual SIM slots. It loads with Android 10 OS with EMUI 11 skin.

It measures 161.85 x 74.7 x 8.58 mm and weighs 190 grams in Moonlight Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Starry Black colorways.

Meanwhile, the nova 8 is a device packing a 6.57-inch OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, In-Display fingerprint scanner, and 32MP punch-hole selfie camera.

Inside, this is powered with the Kirin 820E SoC, 8GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and 3,800mAh battery with USB-C 66W Huawei SuperCharge.

For cameras, it goes with a 64MP main cam, 8MP ultra-wide-cam, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors.

It also comes with a 3.5mm jack, WiFi 4G LTE, and dual SIM slots.

There is no word about the price of the device yet.

Stay tuned for more info!
