HONOR Watch GS 3 with stainless steel body and improved health tracking now official!

HONOR recently launched HONOR Watch GS3 in China, price starting at CNY 1,300.

The body of this brand new wearable is made out of 316L low-carbon stainless steel measures 10.5 mm thick and weighs 44g, while the diameter is 45.9 mm. The watch is water-resistant, up to 5 ATM so it can be used in water activities.

This new HONOR watch comes in silver, gold, and black colorways, each with a different wrist strap. The first two get Nappa leather straps whereas the black one is dubbed as the Racing Pioneer" and has a durable rubber strap instead.

Higher positioning accuracy

In front, the watch sports a 3D curved glass with a graduated bezel. It has a 1.43" AMOLED display with 326 ppi for sharp graphics (466 x 466 px resolution). There's also an 8-channel PPG module. It allegedly targets 97 percent minimum accuracy when tracking the user's heart rate. 

The Watch GS3  also does 24/7 blood oxygen tracking and sleep tracking through HONOR Health 5.0. It has all-night sleep tracking and a SpO2 monitor for blood oxygen level measurement. When low blood oxygen conditions occur, the watch will vibrate to give a reminder. 

The user is also asked to provide over 200 sleep suggestions to help with sleep sounds. Similarly, when the pressure is high, the wearable will suggest adjusting the breathing to release the pressure.

Meanwhile, this watch features more than 100 sports modes, including 10 "professional sports modes". Its array of sensors also includes an accelerometer, gyro, compass, air pressure, and ambient light sensors.

A claim of 14-day battery and fast charging feature

The HONOR Watch GS3 promises up to 14 days of typical use or 30 hours of continuous GPS tracking. Reportedly, you'll only need 5 minutes of charging to get enough power to last you the whole day. A full charge of the 451 mAh battery should take just under an hour.

Moreover, this wearable comes with many pre-installed basic apps, including a music player. alarm and timer, plus a remote camera shutter button and a way to decline incoming calls with predefined text messages. 

HONOR said you still can install additional apps since it is equipped with 4GB memory. It also packs a few China-specific features like Alipay and a smart card for public transport. NFC is also available.

The Honor Watch GS 3 is already available on pre-order in China but there's no announcement yet from the company regarding its availability in other regions.
