Digital Pilipinas Academy names Mapua University as its first innovation partner!

Digital Pilipinas, Mapua University, and the DOST is a three-way collaboration to support the DOST-MAPUA Think and Tinker Laboratory Business Incubation program to promote academe industry-government collaboration. The partnership aspires to create an innovative education technology ecosystem across the country by promoting the widespread use of emerging technologies.

By establishing the TBI, Mapua became one of the universities supported and funded by the DOST-PCIEER under its Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship Program.

TBI will carry out an innovation mandate to assist startups in developing products and services that make use of emerging technologies by providing all necessary resources and support, such as the use of its facilities, mentoring and networking, and business matching, in order to help them grow and evolve into mature businesses.

For Web 3.0 certification, Digital Pilipinas has partnered with Affinidi, a Singapore-based certifying authority. The agreement asks for the creation of micro-certification courses that will be offered on AFIN's APIX Oxygen platform.

In 2021, Digital Pilipinas and the Monetary Authority of Singapore collaborated to create the World Fintech Festival Philippines, which also saw the signing of an enlarged Fintech Innovation Function Cooperation Agreement between the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and MAS. The agreement improves cross-border payments between Manila and Singapore while also bringing the ASEAN network of integrated real-time payment systems closer to reality.
