Globe continues aggressive network upgrades

For the months of September and October last year, Globe said it rolled out 195 new cell sites and upgraded 2,800 sites with LTE technology in 706 towns and cities across 81 provinces.

Subscribers residing in the following provinces have reported improved network experience: Bulacan, Cavite, NCR second district, Cebu, and NCR fourth district.

At Globe, we continue to strive to deliver the best digital experience for our customers, and we do not stop on our network build efforts, despite the difficulties of the pandemic, said Marge Dizon, Globe vice president for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.

As the group moves away from 3G, Globe reiterated that customers must shift to 4G LTE and 5G-ready SIMs to maximize the network's performance.

Subscribers may check if they are still using 2G and 3G SIMs by texting SIM CHECK to 8080. If they want to upgrade to 4G LTE SIMs, Globe said they may set an online appointment or through the GlobeOne App before proceeding to the Globe Store for SIM replacement.
