TECNO POP 5S launched with UNISOC processor and 5.7-inch HD+ screen

TECNO launched another budget-centric smartphone in Mexico called the POP 5S with a UNISOC processor and 5.7-inch HD+ screen.

TECNO has a new budget-friendly device!

The smartphone uses a waterdrop display design with thick bezels on each side and its chin, something that you would expect from a budget segment. But flipping it at the back, you will be greeted with premium looking cover that looks like a matte textured finish. The phone has a dimension of 148 x 72.3 x 9.9mm and weighs 160 grams.

It features a chic-sized 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with 720 x 1520 HD+ resolution, an 18:9 aspect ratio, and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio.

At the helm, the device is equipped with a 1.4GHz 28nm UNISOC SC98632E quad-core processor. It is then paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of memory space.

Meanwhile, the battery is just average with a 3,020mAh capacity. It can be charged using a micro-USB port and an unspecified watts adapter.

As for the dual cameras, the device gets 5MP for the primary sensor and an AI lens. For its selfie shooter, it has a 2MP module with LED flash.

The other feature will be the face unlock support for security reasons. For connectivity, it has 4G VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual-SIM card support.

Lastly, the smartphone will run with Android 10 Go Edition out of the box.

The device comes in Purple and Green colorways and is now available in the Mexican market. Unfortunately, there are no details yet about its availability here in the Philippines.
