MSI unveils CreatorPro Z series and M series
The CreatorPro Z-series

Five laptops from MSI!

First are the Z series which consists of Creator Pro Z17 and Z16P which are the top variants among the group.

Both of them carry QHD+ 2560 x 1600 resolution and 165Hz refresh rates, 100 percent DCI-P3, and touch screen, but are different in size. The Z16 obviously has a 16-inch panel and the Z17 has a slightly larger 17-inch display. Alongside that is a light sensor for automatic brightness control and both screens support MSI Pen.

At the helm of the two laptops, they are equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor which consists of 14 cores (6P + 8E) and 20 threads. While the GPU has two options to choose from, you can get the RTX A5500 16GB GDDR6 as the higher variant and the RTX A3000 12GB GDDR6 for the lower variant. They are paired with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM with clock speeds of 4,800MHz. Unfortunately, the brand did not specify the internal storage for these two.

For a slim body, it has a huge battery of 90WHr capacity and both can be charged using a 240W adaptor.

They also have an IR FHD webcam that can shoot 30fps at 1080p.

Other features are an RGB keyboard made by SteelSeries, a fingerprint reader, and 4x 2W stereo speakers by the Dynaudio system. Additionally, they are also built with Vapor Chamber Cooler technology to keep the temps in check.

For connectivity, the devices are equipped with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2x Thunderbolt 4 (one has PD support), 1x USB Gen 2 Type-A, 1x HDMI, 1x SD card reader, 1x DC-in, and 1x 3.5mm audio jack.

The software side has two options either Windows 11 Home or Pro versions for business.

MSI also has another 3 laptops which are called the CreatorPro M series which consists of the M15, M16, and M17. These computers have lower GPUs implying that they are for mainstream users.

The MSI CreatorPro M16 offers an intriguing display setup, among the three featuring a 16-inch panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, Quad HD+ resolution (2560 x 1600), and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Both the CreatorPro M17 and M15 have 16:9 displays, albeit the CreatorPro M15 is just Full HD.

The M15 has 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H and is limited to only RTX A1000 4GB GDDR6 GPU. While the M16 and M17 have 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H processors with 8 cores and 16 threads. For their GPUs, the two laptops have three options you can choose from. Starting from NVIDIA RTX A1000, A2000 8GB GDDR6, and A3000 12GB GDDR6.

Meanwhile, all the M series have up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and two SODIMM slots. Again MSI did not specify the storage options for these devices.

For the battery, the M15 has 51WHr capacity with a 120W charger, while the other two have a slightly bigger 53.5WHr capacity. For their chargers, both have two options 180W or 240W.

The three have HD webcams that shoot 720p videos at 30 frames per second.

Other info is the single-colored (White) backlit keyboards and 2x 2W stereo speakers.

For connectivity, they also come with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. As for the ports they have 1x USB Type-C port, 3x USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet ports available. Surprisingly, MSI's spec sheet claims that the two larger models have a slower USB Type-A port that runs at USB 2.0 speeds, while the CreatorPro M15 has all three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.

For the OS the three devices also have options for either Windows 11 Home or Pro edition.

As of now, there are no details yet with regards to the price and availability for the CreatorPro Z and M Series. Once they're up we will get back to you for this.

Stay tuned.
