Taco Bell Defy is designed to fit the mold of people's modern ordering needs. The futuristic drive-thru aims to cut down service time to under two minutes. It is a multi-level facility with 4x drive-thru lanes. Three of these lanes are dedicated for pickup orders only and have a cylindrical elevator to lower the order to the customer.

The lifts are a result of a collaboration with solutions company Vertical Works. Apart from making drive-thru service faster, these elevators serve as a way for Taco Bell to stand out among other fast-food restaurants.

Aside from the food lifts, this Taco Bell Defy store features other modernized features including digital panels where mobile clients can check out with QR codes and two-way audio and video technologies where they can communicate with Taco Bell workers on the second story. These mobile-centric lanes should also help delivery drivers deal with requests more quickly.
