This time, we’re talking about a premium mid-range smartphone from OPPO that is said to be great for taking portraits.
OPPO Reno7 5G and a sample Portrait mode shot

Of course, you’ve read the title, we’re focusing on this OPPO Reno7, which was released earlier this year 2022. We used it for some casual day-to-day mobile photography and for taking videos.

Before we get into it, let’s just quickly go over its camera specs.

This device is packed with 3 sensors behind it. We get a 64MP main shooter with PDAF focus and EIS for the Ultra Steady function.

This sensor is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP 4cm macro helper. And then, we have its single LED flash when needed.

Upfront, there’s a 32MP selfie camera.

The thing about this OPPO Reno7 is that despite NOT having a dedicated bokeh lens, it is backed by advanced image processing algorithms, including Bokeh Flare Portrait, Selfie HDR, and chip-level AI algorithms to produce that DSLR depth blur quality—even for videos!

Anyway, here’s what we think about it. Watch this.

Our thoughts

For our final thoughts, we can say that what you’re really paying for this OPPO Reno7 is its cameras that awesomely have the capabilities to produce pro-looking shots.

As someone who posts a lot of food, gadgets, and other random things online; having this phone is handy instead of bringing a rather bulky DSLR camera.

What do you guys think?
