South Korean tech firm Samsung recently announced that the company is holding a Lazada live pre-order event for its newest foldable smartphones.

The event will happen today August 15, 2022, at 7 PM. During the event, the company will showcase the new Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 high-end foldable smartphones.
According to the company, those who will watch and pre-order the new foldables on the Samsung Flagship Store in LazMall will get up to PHP 43,300 worth of freebies and discounts.

As a quick recap, the rew Z Flip4 features a folding inner large 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex screen with a 120Hz adaptive fresh rate and a 2640 x 1080 resolution while on the outer side is a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 260 x 512 resolution. This has a punch-hole for the 10MP f/2.4 selfie camera as well.
Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor, next-gen Adreno GPU, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1, 3,700mAh battery with 25W SuperFast wired charging, 15W fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
For cameras, the handset is using a 12MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS and Dual-Pixel AF and the 12MP f/2.2 123-degree ultra-wide camera with an LED flash.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Dolby Atmos, and stereo speakers.
It measures 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.3 mm when unfolded and weighs 187 grams. You can get it in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, or Blue. The price of this device starts at PHP 58,990.  |
Z Fold4 |
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is the company's larger foldable smartphone boasting an inner folding 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2176 x 1812. It supports HDR10+ and comes in a more squarish aspect ratio of 21.6:18 when compared to the previous generation.
The outer screen features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2316 x 904 resolution, and a tall 23.1:9 aspect ratio.
Inside the phone is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor, next-gen Adreno GPU, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB/1TB UFS 3.1 storage, 4,400 mAh battery with 25W SuperFast wired charging, 15W Fast wireless charging 2.0 and reverse wireless charging.
At the back of the phone is a triple camera set-up made up of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with Dual-Pixel AF and OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 123-degree ultra-wide camera and a 10MP f/2.4 Telephoto camera with OIS and PDAF.
On the punch hole of the cover screen is a 10MP f/2.2 selfie camera while under the inner folding screen is the 4MP f/1.8 under-display selfie camera.
Other features include IPX8 Water resistance, 5G, LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Samsung Knox, and Samsung Knox Vault.
The phone measures 67.1 x 155.1 x 15.8 mm when folded and weighs 263 grams.
It will come in either Graygreen, Phantom Black and Biege.
Both devices features the so-called "Armor Aluminum" and Gorilla Victus+ protection. Samsung claims these solutions made the devices "tougher than before".
