MapleStory M collabs with BLACKPINK to bring special in game items!

Nexon maker of the MapleStory M MMORPG partnered with BLACKPINK to bring in-game items inspired by the girl group itself.

MapleStory M x BLACKPINK Collab!

Collaboration of the game devs with specific groups or entities is widely known as an effective way to promote the game. And if you're able to attract the huge fan base of a K-pop group that's another level of ways to sell the game.

Nexon recently posted two episodes of collaboration as a preview of their project. It is divided into two episodes—Episode 1 features MapleStory M's gameplay experiences together with BLACKPINK members wearing their distinctive fashion outfits. 

While on Episode 2, the Kpop members are divided into two teams—The black team consists of Jisoo and Jennie, and the Pink team of Rose and Lisa and they used the songs from their hit albums as inspiration to create collaborative products with the game's art design department.

The two-episode videos in which the members of BLACKPINK discuss their gaming adventures and offer suggestions for design elements have drawn a lot of interest from gamers.

There are also two BLACK packages, two PINK packages, and a BLINK Beauty item for the face and hair. 

The Black packages which are designed by Jisoo and Jennie adapt the chic and charismatic concept of the songs "Pink Venom and Shut Down". While the songs Boombayah, Ice cream, and DDU-DU DDU-DU bring bubbly and lively concepts for the Pink packages which are made by Rose and Lisa.

The game's newest update is now live and can be downloaded on the Google Play Store and App Store.
